This comprehensive 12 day Morocco itinerary offers an unforgettable exploration of Morocco, combining vibrant cities, coastal landscapes, imperial heritage, and the magic of the Sahara Desert. Beginning in Casablanca, you’ll discover the country’s modern spirit alongside iconic landmarks and Atlantic views before heading to Rabat, the capital known for its historical elegance and coastal charm.

The journey continues north to Tangier, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, offering a unique cultural blend and scenic beauty. From there, you’ll explore the blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most picturesque towns, before discovering the imperial richness of Fes, home to one of the world’s oldest medinas and a deep-rooted cultural heritage.

As the journey unfolds, landscapes shift dramatically as you travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward the golden dunes of Merzouga Desert. Here, experience the true essence of the Sahara with a sunset camel ride, encounters with nomadic life, and a night under the stars in a desert camp.

The adventure continues through spectacular natural scenery, including the dramatic Todra Gorge and the famous Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, leading to Ouarzazate and the legendary Ait Benhaddou. Crossing the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll arrive in Marrakech, where vibrant souks, historic monuments, and lively squares create a perfect ending to the journey.

Meet our driver and guide at Mohammed V Casablanca Airport.

You will have time for Lunch first, then you will start your visit by exploring Mohamed V square, the United Nations place, the central market, the habbous sector and the residential area of Anfa before strolling along the Aïn Diab coast dotted with swimming pools and restaurants.

Visit Casablanca’s Coastal Cornice, a neighborhood on the Atlantic Ocean.

After that you will head to the Hassan II Mosque to perform Asr prayer.

The Mosque of Hassan II was designed by the French architect Michel Pinceau and is situated on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic.

After breakfast, meet with our guide at the hotel’s lobby.

Proceed to visit Rabat. Upon arrival we will visit the Mohammed V’s Mausoleum, Hassan Tower then visits of Kasbah des Oudayas.

Lunch in a local Restaurant around 12:00 pm. then continuation to Tanger (approximately 3h30min).

Tanger is the gateway to Africa, and the place where the Mediterranean and Atlantic waters converge.

After breakfast, drive to Chefchaouen.

Upon arrival start a guided walk around the town with its whitewashed walls originally decorated in this style by Jewish immigrant.

The Medina is the focal point of interest for most visitors to Chefchaouen. The waterfall (Ras el Maa) to the east of the medina is a meeting point for local residents who come to cool off, chat and do their laundry (including carpets on sunny Sundays).

After breakfast, drive to Fes via Meknes.

Stop by the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, Arrival to Meknes, the city known as « the Moroccan Versailles » which was founded at the end of the 17th Century by Moulay Ismail.

Stop by Bab Mansour (the most preserved gate in Morocco), the old medina and Moulay Ismail’s Mausoleum then start Continuation to Fes.

After breakfast, Start your Full day visit at 09:00.

Today will be devoted to the sightseeing of Fes, the most ancient of the Imperial cities founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idris II. Visit the following sites on a route that takes you through the medina starting with the old Jewish Quarter. The 14th Century Palace Gates of the King – The Royal Palace in Fes is one of the oldest and largest in Morocco. Then visit of the medieval Medina with Tanner’s Quarter Quaraouiyine Mosque, Bou Inania Medersa, visit Chouara Tannery (outside) and Shopping for Leather Product, then short stop in front of Bab Boujloud After visit, then proceed to see a panoramic tour to the modern part of Fes (Fes Jdid).

After breakfast, departure to Merzouga Desert via the mountains and cedar woods of the middle Atlas passing by Ifrane a charming ski resort. Stop in Midelt with time for lunch at a local restaurant on the way.

Continue on to Merzouga via Errachidia ,the Ziz Valley and Erfoud.

Early wakeup to see the sunrise. Breakfast and after that we will have 4×4 drive tour to visit the nomads and have lunch at a local restaurant, check in at the camp.

After breakfast in the desert camp, meet the coach to continue on to Rissani, the holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif, before continuing on to Tinghir via the Tinjdad road. Visit the magnificent Todgha canyons whose rocks reach a height of 400 meters. There will be time to have lunch at local restaurant situated at the foot of the canyon, continuation to Ouarzazate via the road of the thousand kasbahs and the Dades Valley famous for its roses and the yearly Moussem (Rose Festival).

After breakfast, check-out at 09:00 and depart for visit of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (climb), the most spectacular fortress in southern of Morocco, which has served as a set for many films such as lawrence of Arabia and Gladiators.

Continuation to Marrakech via the Tichka Pass offering an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas Mountains (250km).

Upon arrival around 02:00 pm have lunch at a local restaurant.

After breakfast start the visit of Marrakech including the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia palace and continue to Djemaa El-Fna Square, Unesco declared the Djemaa el-Fna a ‘Masterpiece of World Heritage’ in 2001 also a square and market place in Marrakesh’s medina quarter. By day it is largely filled fortune tellers, storytellers, snake charmers and all kind of entertainer. It is also known for its perpetual colorful and grandiose bustle. Transfer to the airport from Marrakech or Casablanca depending on schedule.
